Okkultokrati's latest "Raspberry Dawn" (Southern Lord) is weird, wired and quite possibly the holy grail for those that crave some new sensations in the current era. These guys from Oslo thrust the heretic rock and roll that they have cultivated since 2008 (through their albums "Snakereigns" and "Night Jerks"), into more extraordinary situations. Classic 70’s riffing, snotty punk, and brash old school metal are mixed with pulses and spikes of dark wave and ice cold, psychedelic repetition. They retained the attitude from their roots, and bust a propulsive stomp that aligns them closer to the clarity of recordings from decades past. Whether you’re a devotee of sounds from the underground or in the market for a stadium rock fix, Okkultokrati can somehow satisfy you all.

Rotterdam-based GOLD is currently one of Rotterdam's most ambitious bands. This dark rock, post-everything band conceived in 2011 by guitarist Thomas Sciarone (ex-The Devil’s Blood) and vocalist Milena Eva cemented its strong position with its latest output "No Image"; an album that resolutely embraces the roots of dark/death rock and noisy indie-rock. A true statement of intent, it proved to be a rawer, heavier, and sharper expression than their (already) solid debut, and at the same time one more enchanting and addictive.
