Eerlijke oldschool Bay Area Thrash metal.
Exodus kwam, zag, overwon en heerst nog steeds!
De band Exodus werd in 1981 opgericht door zanger Paul Baloff en toenmalig gitarist Kirk Hammett (Metallica). Zij werden geïnspireerd door o.a. Motörhead en Iron Maiden en dit leidde tot de beginselen van de Thrash metal die in de jaren tachtig ongekend populair werd bij het grote publiek. Het moge duidelijk zijn dat Exodus zelf een grote inspiratiebron was voor vele bands die volgden. Denk aan Testament, Death Angel en Machine Head. Tours over heel de wereld volgden met o.a. Antrax, Pantera en Megadeth. Na een aantal bezettingwisselingen, probleempjes en het tragische overlijden van oud zanger Baloff in 2002 kwam Exodus vorig jaar helemaal terug in de picture. Het album "Shovel Headed Kill Machine" kreeg lovende reacties alom en een vette tour door Europa kon dus niet wegblijven! Maar voordat Bang Your Head en Graspop aan de beurt zijn, komen ze eerst langs bij de Bosuil!

Voordat Exodus het podium beklimt is het eerst tijd voor een van Nederlands' beste metalbands. Zeker in het buitenland doen deze mannen het erg goed, Callenish Circle. Hun meest recente album [Pitch.Black.Effects] brachten ze uit via Metal Blade Records. Callenish Circle maakt moderne melodic Thrash/Death metal.

Unfortunately, due to bad connections, the band missed their connecting flight to Switserland this afternoon and won't be able to make it to Zurich in time for the show. However, the show has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Monday June 19, 2006. You can still come out tonight (free admission) as both support acts will still be performing and your ticket will stay valid for the Monday show when Exodus will be playing, so basically that's two shows for the price of one.

ik denk dat we de Deicide grap voortaan ook voor Exodus kunnen maken.Zurich show cancelled
Unfortunately, the Zurich show has now been cancelled entirely. The band are stuck in France and won't be able to make it back to Zurich in time. They have tried their best to make up for the cancelled show on June 18th but appearently it was not meant to be.
Now, obviously you have a right to be upset but before you go taking it out on the band, they have been trekking through Europe, trying to make this show happen and it's just as frustrating (or mayby even more) for them as for you.

After playing Lorca Rock festival ( Awesome show, big thanks to everybody involved) we had to drive four hours to Valencia airport instead of Alacante, which is one hour away. Our tickets were so fucked up, they had us flying to Zurich via London. This should have been a two hour flight with a one hour drive to the airport. Instead it was about a total of nine hours. But the big problem was we were given an unreasonable amount of time to change flights to Zurich. We were not transfering on the same airline, we had to walk 20 minutes, go through passport control, and get our bags, and head to the ticketing counter to check in for our flight. In thirty minutes. Do the math. We ended up stuck in London for about five hours until we could catch the only flight we could afford (and find) that would get us off the isle. Which put us in Nice all night, sleeping on benches like hobos. This whole nightmare began at 4 in the morning on the 18th, and about thirty something hours later we made it to Zurich to pick up our remaining crew and backline.
This has sucked more than you could ever imagine, and if you do not believe me you can walk a mile in my shoes. No don't get me wrong. I love where my shoes take me, for better or worse. This has been a disaster of epic proportions. But the three shows we have done have ruled. Believe me when I say heads will roll over this.
As for someones comment about bathing in the sea?
I hate the water.
