Ik beluister nu de split tussen Valfunde en Amesoeurs.
Het nummer - en de intro - van Valfunde zou net zo goed onder de naam Peste Noire gereleased kunnen worden. Zegt genoeg lijkt me, zeker de moeite waard. Ook het nummer van Amesoeurs is weer geweldig. Typisch Amesoeurs, vergelijkbaar met het laatste nummer van "Ruines Humaines".
Ik kan niet wachten tot het album uitkomt.

Heb gister even de split binnengehaald, maar Valfunde...nee. Huis/tuin/keuken opname, erg simpele black, bezieling komt niet over op een paar desolate flarden na.Blood&Ashes schreef:[..]
Amesoeurs doet me niets, maar Valfunde lijkt me wel interessant. Heeft er iemand een sample?
Dát heb ik bij Amesoeurs dan weer wel. De invloeden van postpunk zijn bij het nieuwe nummer duidelijker geworden, vreemde mix, maar interessant.
En de man zal heersen.

Neige has decided to split up the band, because of his new girlfriend, who is jealous of Audrey S' participation, forced him to stop everything.
Winterhalter, who has nothing to do with this story, was fired too, even if he doesn’t know it yet. The same for Fursy.

Indeed I'm leaving Amesoeurs but it has no much to do with any "girlfriend" gossips. I do it for several personnal reasons that apparently Audrey can't assume and understand. I never prevented her to keep on the band with the other members if she wanted to. I hope people will be conscious enough not to believe everything written there. No more to say."

"After this stormy conflict within the band we finally found an agreement and decided to record the album as planned. Nu zit ik er al een poosje over na te denken om Souvenirs d'un autre monde" aan te schaffen is de hele cd in de zelfde stijl als de 2 nummers op Myspace?

Ferme kick, want er is nieuws over het nieuwe album van Alcest:
new album
I will enter the Markus Stock's Studio E for recording the second Alcest album from the 27th of July to mid August. The mix/mastering will be done by N. Xort in september at the Drudenhaus Studio.
This album will contain 6 tracks : 4 new ones and the 2 ones from "Le Secret" re-recorded. As for the total playing time, it will be around 55 min. The concept will change a bit from "Souvenirs...", since I am dealing with the usual Alcest subjects but this time using ocean's thematic as a metaphor. I have been inspired a lot by seaside romanticism these last times, it's strengh and mysteries and I wanted to use it as the main idea/imagery for the new album.
Musically expect something slightly different as well, more complex in the structures (two of the new songs are 10 minutes lenght), emotionally wider, with a lot of contrasts and dark blue soundscapes...
But obviously this is still 100% Alcest, with its typical ecstatic moments and deep nostalgia.
Also Winterhalter (Amesoeurs/Les Discrets/ex Peste Noire,..) will play drums on this recording.
The release date is planned for january 2010.

De Alcest split met Les Discrets bevat weer een enorm sterk nummer, en klinkt toch wel wat anders dan op Souvenirs. Kijk erg uit naar de nieuwe schijf. Les Discrets (zijproject met Amesoeurs leden) is trouwens ook echt goed, en ook die brengen binnenkort hun debuutplaat uit op Prophecy.

De 'nieuwe' Alcest is inmiddels voorhuid te bestellen. Voor de LP verzamelaars, wees snel want ik heb zo'n vermoeden dat die LP niet lang te koop gaat zijn...
