BLACKLISTED – Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God. LP We’re really happy to continue working with our friends in Blacklisted. Ever since their debut “We’re Unstoppable” the bandhas progressed itself and “Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God” is the album that shows a band that has stepped forward, up and beyond themselves. Blacklisted created a record, recorded and engineered by Kurt Ballou @ Godcity, that truly shows how they both musically and lyrically standout above a lot of mediocre music these days. Release date for “Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God” is April 1st. NO TURNING BACK – Stronger. CD/LP details announced! In this day and age where hardcore bands come and go with the speed of light NO TURNING BACK are holding true to what they originally set out to do and they're not planning on giving up.. Ever! Starting out in 1997, No Turning Back have steadily been building an impressive career touring worldwide and became a household name in hardcore music. Since the release of 'Holding On', in the fall of 2006, a lot has happened for NO TURNING BACK. This third full length record has taken the band to the next level of their impressive ten year strong career. Without a doubt.. 2007 has been NO TURNING BACK’s best year so far. It's the year that the band celebrated their 10 year anniversary as a band, still raising every bar ever set in hardcore by sounding more hungry, more eager and more inspiring than a lot of their contemporaries. With 220 (yes! Two hundred and twenty!) shows under their belts in just a little over a year, the band is now ready for the next chapter. Together with Dirk Miers at De Studio and Alan Douches at West West Side who contributed their expertise to ‘Stronger”, NO TURNING BACK took 10 days and simply did that what they wanted to: they recorded their best record to date. With guestvocals from Down To Nothing, Cold World and Enemy Ground and the artwork being done once more by Bas Kahle, NO TURNING BACK delivers a new album that’s not to be missed by anyone who still believes in REAL hardcore! REFLECTIONS signs TRASH TALK! It’s no secret that TRASH TALK is one of THE most talked about new hardcore bands out there. With their raging live performances, constant touring and the “Walking Disease” and “Plague” ep’s the band is delivering the true essence of punk and hardcore: aggression, energy and crazyness. The band is heading into Ellectrical Audio Recording Studios March 16th and 17th to record their upcoming first full length with none less than Steve Albini (Shellac/Nirvana/High On Fire/ThePixies/Neurosis). The band is releasing the new album themselves in North America, while Reflections will release it on both CD and LP for the European territory. CURSED – III, Architects Of Troubled Sleep. LP/CD pre-orders up now! This is CURSED’s third chapter in their shock and awe program and most likely their best release to date! The CD comes in a deluxe digipack and the LP comes in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with spot-varnish making the incredible artwork from John Baizley (Baroness) stand out even more. The LP is limited to 1000 copies: 250 clear/black color in color + 250 clear + 500 black. Cursed will be touring Europe in the spring of 2008. PAINT IT BLACK – New Lexicon. CD out now! GREAT reviews coming in! PAINT IT BLACK’s New Lexicon was not easy to produce, but it’s gritty, thunderous and ugly—just the way hardcore punk should be. New Lexicon marks PAINT IT BLACK’s first recording with new drummer Jared Shavelson (The Hope Conspiracy, None More Black) and boasts guest vocals from Jeff Pezatti (Naked Raygun). Still, many of the best surprises occur behind the scenes. Rather than straining to re-create “lo-fi” in a studio, New Lexicon rings in an aggressive clarity from engineer J. Robbins’ (Modern Life is War, Against Me!). With a thick low-end up front (think Bad Brains’ Roir sessions), New Lexicon says that aggression doesn’t have to be found only in thick guitars. From here, the album was passed on to co-producer Oktopus of the indie hip hop group Dalek. Here, the existing sounds of feedback, bass booms and cymbal crashes were twisted into haunting ambient interludes and serpentine waves trailing behind the buzz saw riffs. VARIOUS NEWS & GOSSIP... Mastering for BAD REACTION– Had It Coming, the band’s debut CD, is finished. Expect this to drop in May and expect hardcore punk. Fast, energetic, simple and oh so fucking effective! ---ANNIHILATION TIME, their yet to be named new record will be unleashed on April 29 on both CD and vinyl. We heard a few songs and if you’re like me and love both Hardcore punk and (Classic) Hardrock, there’s only one record you need this year! ---- WRAITH’s upcoming 7” is being mastered at West West Side Music and without wanting to give you all this promo-bullshit., we dare to say that we haven’t heard a band from the UK in the last few years that blew us away as much as they do. Did we ever mention they are the VERY first band we signed on only a demo? --- Also in the finishing stage of mastering is BLACK ANVIL. Their debut LP/CD “Time Insults The Mind” will be released on our side-label Monumentum Records and those who know metal… real metal (think Hellhammer, Messiah, Celtic Frost, Immortal, Darkthrone) will be stoked! We want to thank them for many years of working together and we're happy and proud that we were involved in their legacy from the very first album 'My Love. My Way' and 2nd album 'Witness' to their latest 'Midnight In America'. The band is preparing a final 'goodbye'; tour in the US this spring. ---- While many people are tricked by the media into being afraid for religious fanatiscs, the TERROR that is actually VERY real is coming to Europe! From April 4th on the band will be touring Europe with Ignite, Strung Out and Death Before Dishonor. Get stomped or do some serious stomping yourself!
