KIT X is over and it was an unforgetable weekend. We want to thank all Bands and Fans for unbelivable gigs and really amazing emotinal moments.
We also started with the organizing of KIT XII on April 24th and 25th 2009. It will happen in the same style as KIT X, which means 2 full days of metal madness with 18 or 19 bands in the big Tauberfrankenhalle. In the same time we decided, that we will only do the April KIT shows and stop doing the November edition from 2009 on. This is because two KITs a year cause us too much stress and we want to deliver you the best possible quality, so we will concentrate on the April date from 2009 on.

since KIT Number one we tried to get SORTILEGE for our festival, cause I think they were always the best band ever from France, but unfortunately it never happened but we tried for five years now. But now we took the chance to make it possible to hear these hymns of French steel for the first time in Germany. Original singer Christian „ZOUILLE“ Augustin will perform „A Night Of SORTILEGE“ with an All Star French Metal Band (incl. SATAN JOKERS member) on KEEP IT TRUE 12. This will be the only possibility to hear these songs, cause the other bandmember do not have any interest in a full SORTILEGE reunion, but I think with the original singer we have the most important part. I hope this will make you all happy, cause it took us 5 long years to make this possible and our hearts are totally into it. Many thanks also to Holger from G.O.M. Records, without whom this all would not have been possible.

We have some news for you:
1. Unfortunately EVLIDEAD had to cancel their show at KIT 12.
2. But we were able to book the long anticipated first Europan show of cult thrashers RIGOR MORTIS from Texas.
3.Another new band on the billing are THE GATES OF SLUMBER, who have released one of the best albums in 2008 with their new epic "Conqueror". This will be the first and exclusive european show for "Conqueror".
4. Finally we are able to announce the presale start for KIT 12. The presale will start on July 24th 2008 and the ticket price will be 37 Euro in total. No additional parking or camping costs. We had to add 7 Euro to the last ticket price, cause the total costs for the festival increased so much. The costs for the bands are way higher than in 2008 and also the costs for cleaning and getting away the trash increased so much that we had to react. In 2009 we will also have toilets for all the people camping near the venue. So I hope you understand why we had to increase the ticket price a bit and we think, that 37 Euro for that billing (headliners are still missing) is still a very fair price.

It is time to announce the last band for KEEP IT TRUE 12. It is not a normal "band", cause we are going to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). This was the most important scene for Heavy Metal ever and we thought KIT would be the perfect place to celebrate this. We will have a fantastic backing band consisting of the NWOBHM tribute band ROXXCALIBUR (www.roxxcalibur.de) and they will play these great tunes together with the original singers from the UK. We plan to get at least 10 or 11 musicians from the NWOBHM over for this special event. The following are the already confirmed NWOBHM heroes:

Ik vind het een beetje vroeg om een draad aan te maken over een festival dat in 2010 zou moeten worden gehouden. Bovendien begint de kaartverkoop tijdens KIT 12, dus post ik het hier maar even:
Organizers of Germany's Keep It True festival have announced details regarding the 13th instalment scheduled for April, 2010. Confirmed acts include: WHIPLASH, HADES, TYGERS OF PAN TANG, SATANS HOST (with Harry Conklin - first European show ever), OBSESSION (first European show), SIREN (with Doug Lee), ADX, HEART OF CYGNUS, CRYSTAL VIPER, STRIKER.
Two headliners - 20 bands in total - will make up the festival held at Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Königshofen. Tickets for the two-day festival will be available at KIT 12 in April 2009.

[18.01.09] Hallo Freunde,
leider haben wir eine schlechte Nachricht für KEEP IT TRUE 12. HITTMAN mussten leider ihren Auftritt im April absagen. Der Grund dafür ist eine unerwartete familiäre Tragödie bei einem Bandmitglied. Die Band hatte zwar darüber nachgedacht mit einem Ersatzmusiker aufzutreten, hat das aber verworfen, da das für sie nicht HITTMAN gewesen wären. Wir können das natürlich vollkommen verstehen und wünschen der Band, bzw. dem Musiker alles erdenklich Gute. Die Tür für eine künftige Show wird von unserer Seite immer offen stehen.
Wir haben aber nicht auf dem faulen Hintern gesessen und können euch bereits erstklassigen Ersatz präsentieren. Die holländische Legende PICTURE wird nach dem gigantischen Auftritt beim Headbangers Open Air auch am KEEP IT TRUE ihre Visitenkarte abgeben und die Fans mit klassischem, holländischen Stahl verwöhnen. Wir freuen uns darauf.
