Dear Metal partners,
Dear Metal fans,
Dear Metal friends,
Due to circumstances beyond our control, involving the owners of the Phoenix Club, Painkiller Records and its exceptionnal sponsor AblaZine.com are forced to delay the first edition of the Painkiller Metal Fest. Please let us apologize for any inconvenience caused, and understand that our liability in this case can not be involved.
The reason for this unhappy happening is really simple, and we are sure that you will be as disappointed as we all are. Since we had the idea of organizing this festival, the owners / managers of the Phoenix Club seemed to be really interested in such an event. For sure, this Festival should have been the first one in this part of Belgium, and their financial interest was as immediate as easy to understand. So they promised us to make their very best to make the Phoenix the best place on Earth for such a show. They completely lied. This club has no backstages, no showers, no security, no staff, no available rooms for the bands and / or catering, no everything! Most of all, the sound volume is limited in the evening, which would have as a consequence for the headlining acts to play less loud than the supporting bands! Finally, just as if this all was not enough, the light power-engine has burnt two days ago, killing the possible atmosphere of the show. We all agree that it sounds a bit like a huge joke. Unfortunately, it is not.
Anyway, in order to prove our dedication and our involvement, our sponsor and us have decided three main things:
1. The Festival is NOT cancelled, it is DELAYED (to October, or something);
2. All the bands / people involved in the organisation will get compensation on demand, and will be present on the new date;
3. All the fans who have booked pre-sale tickets and / or passes will get free ones for the new festival.
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding. May Metal rule our lives forever!
