Mega Record & CD Fair 2005 & 4th Rock, Pop & memorabilia auction
Twice a year tens of thousands of popmusic lovers from all over the world come to the Mega Record & CD Fair in Utrecht, the Netherlands. On Saturday, November 19th and Sunday, November 20th the true connoisseurs, fans, collectors and DJs will be present in the Jaarbeurs to try and complete their collection.
With millions of cds, dvds, 12-inches, albums and singles the two-day event offers a fair chance of succeeding. But not just the collectors form an international crowd, so do the dealers, ranging from Sweden to South Africa and from Canada to Japan.
The November edition of the record show hosts the fourth auction of rock & pop memorabilia.
The auction features around 100 lots, including a fair amount of sixties psychedelic rock posters, such as a very rare one for 'Hung on You', Mick Jagger's London boutique in the sixties. The demand for these seems to be steadily growing and some designs fetched spectacular prices at the last year's auction. Recently they have been the subject of exhibitions in major American and European museums.
Of course most visitors come primarily for the music, but over the years the Megafair has become an international meeting of music lovers, creating a very energetic atmosphere. And the visitors can enjoy the entertaining program with interesting exhibitions, live shows, signing sessions, special guests and DJs.
The Mega Record & CD Fair takes place on Saturday, November 19th and Sunday, November 20th. The Fair is open on Saturday from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. Items for the auction are on view on Saturday, the auction itself starts on Sunday at 1 p.m.

entree is 11 euro, en dan heb je dus toegang tot de bovengenoemde platenbeurs, en tot de grootse verzamelbeurs (en ook daar is erg leuks te vinden, maar dan op ander gebied).
Vorig jaar ben ik samen met Femaze er geweest, en natuurlijk meer uitgegeven dan van te voren gepland, simpelweg omdat er zoveel leuks te halen was.
