Beide jammer genoeg op een een redelijk crappy 1960 marschall cab maar klonk alsnog moddervet en lekker korrelig!

Ik hou echt van dat pedaal.. Pure Grind in een zwart/oranje bakje!

DrDoom news update

It has been really busy in the DrDoom camp here is some info about what we have been doing:

MCD on Crashlanding Records and Scrotum Jus Records:
Our first release will be a mcd containing 8 songs and will be released this summer, the cd's are being pressed in Singapore and will be shipped as soon as possible to holland! Artwork is done by Eelco Zieleman who did a great job! First pressing will be a thousand pieces. If you want to preorder one drop us a mail at doctordoom@live.nl. We will do a release show once the cd is in our hands! Check out a sample of the artwork at our picture section.

Het is officieel, ik hou van de nieuwe Dr. Doom. Verdomme wat een gaaf album is dat Everyone is guilty geworden! Ik vond de eerste EP al geweldig maar met deze plaat stoten ze Rotten sound van de 2e plaats in mijn grindcore top 5 (Nummer 1 is uiteraard gereserveerd voor Nasum).

Dr. Doom klinkt op deze cd gewoonweg apocalyptisch. De woeste, agressieve grindcore invloeden worden afgewerkt met een smerige sludge rand (dat bruine randje rondom een badkuip) en soms klinken ze zelfs zo duister dat het aan black metal grenst. Ik hoor zelfs kleine Anaal nathrakh verwijzingen.

Nog een ander pluspunt is de zang. Die was al lekker gestoord op de EP maar toen was ie nog wat eentonig. Nu beslaat Michel Nienhuis (opgezocht op Metal-archives) het hele scala van laag gegrom tot neurotisch hoog gegil.

Dit is gewoon een van de beste grindcore platen van de laatste jaren en elke fan van dit genre (maar ook van sludge en black metal) moet dit gewoon in huis hebben.
