Having showcased his frightening versatility on contrasting EPs last year, Mikko Lehto returns with "The Womb Of Primordial Nature", a dynamic volume of work that bares both sides of the creator’s soul. Transmigrating similar meadows to OCTOBER FALLS' Debemur Morti debut "The Streams Of The End", this album is infused with the scope of nature and the suffering that accompanies every heartbeat. A celebration of life and death – and the agony that inevitably marks both – the bipolar expressions seamlessly blend folk sensibilities with harsh dissonance to arrive at a unique and uninhabited destination. Rich and beautiful; classical and harmonic; yet also decayed and awash with inconsolable despair. The vast vistas and lycanthropic landscapes encountered during these four epic tracks are tragic, morose and discomforting. From the tears of a newborn to the agony of one's final moments, life is a painful and pitiful struggle. Conceptually themed around the primal beast within man, "The Womb Of Primordial Nature" captures the fragility and futility of existence. Where there is life, death will follow. That which begins, must also end. We all shall fall.

Deze ga ik ook zeker beluisteren. In tegenstelling tot het akoestische werk vond ik "The Streams of the End" vrij goed.

Die mp3 klinkt echt heel mooi en veelbeloven, ik hoor er wel Agalloch in. Die cd gaat wel eens aangeschaft worden denk ik.

Ik ben ook erg benieuwd naar die plaat. The Streams Of The End is hier erg goed bevallen.
