COBALT AND WRATH OF THE WEAK VINYL ON GARDEN OF EXILE
Garden of Exile Records presents two new vinyl releases. Both Cobalt
– Eater of Birds and Wrath of The Weak – Alogon will be released as a
deluxe gatefold 2xLP, and should be ready this fall. Profound Lore
Records took care of the CD version of both releases, and we´ll
take care of the holy vinyl for these dark pieces of art.
WRATH OF THE WEAK, aka Jordan Buck his latest work Alogon , manages
to take the format of the one-man black metal band and make a
completely enthralling and bombastic sound out of it. Wrath of the
Weak produces lo-fi , droning black metal for fans of: Xasthur,
Burzum, Wolves in the Throne Room and Lurker of Chalice.
Through waves of layered distorted guitars that emit unrelenting
ambience through feedback and surreal overtones filtered through an
open vast sound picture, through unforgiving repetition and vicious
melody to embody a vision of uncompromising hypnosis, Wrath of the
Weak can be analogized in this kind of scenario: Weakling and Ildjarn
tearing away and trying to cannibalize each other in the desert while
Velvet Cacoon somewhere tries to desperately want in on the action.
"Alogon", the Wrath of the Weak sophomore release is a noisy, loud,
repetitive, hypnotic, obsessive, unforgiving, and powerful work of raw
ambient black metal art that will make an exceptional reflecting
observation within the genre.

COBALT, started in early 2002, and continued to make music at their
own pace and terms. They are not interested in scene etitism, but
choose to let their music and the individual´s interpretation
serve as their voice. Cobalt plays dark hypnotic heavy music, that
borders on several genres, without beloning to any in specific.
-Eater of Birds- also contains guest vocals by Jarboe (known
from her work with Swans and Neurosis) on 3 tracks. Check out their

Recorded at Flatline Audio and produced by Dave Otero (Cephalic
Carnage) -Eater Of Birds- not only embraces the band's vicious take on
chaotic brutal avant-garde black/war metal and blackthrash, but take
things to a new artistic level in every possible manner. By
incorporating the epic crushing monolithicism of Neurosis and Swans,
and taking blackened war metal to new unconventional brutally warped
levels, amongst ritualistic shaman-like rhythms and pulsations,
through its 70-plus minute pillage, -Eater Of Birds- is an
unforgettable audial scourge through vast bizarre landscapes and
ocean-like terrain.

MINION - OUT OF THE CARNAGE... LET ME BACK IN CD
DISTRIBUTED BY GOE
Late 2007 these German thrashers called Minion, released -Out of
the Carnage... Let me Back In- on LP via Vendetta Records. Now
they decided to release the CD version themselves. Since we at GoE
know these guys for some time now. We decided to help them with
ditributing this release. These guys have been around for ages, but
for some reason they managed to stay under the radar of most
metalheads. Their previous releases were already good, but with this
album they outdid themselves. We can talk a lot about it, but the
album just contains fucking cool metal songs everybody wants to listen
and bang their heads to.

MORSER IN THE STUDIO
Yeah yeah yeah... we know, Mörser are lazy, and the German
soccer team sucks... but still... they guys have all songs ready for
the upcoming full length. They entered the Kuschel Rock studios a
couple of weeks ago to start recording all songs. As we speak they are
right in the middle of it. We hope to be able to give you a teaser
real soon, expect the sheer brutality and mayhem from their first full
length, combined with the more sophisticated song structures from
their later releases. The vinyl and CD version of this record will be
combined, so you will get the whole package at once at a nice price.

MISCELANEOUS
The last couple of months we have been very busy getting our records
available to all you people out there. We are glad our distribution
network is getting bigger and stronger every day. After the addition
of LumberjackMordam and Revelation, we are glad to be already able to
give you the names of new partners: Cargo (from ) and Sound Pollution
(from ). We're looking forward to working with them and thank all of
our partners for putting trust in us.
Within the next couple of weeks we will announce some more cool and
interesting titles we'll be releasing later this year, so stay tuned
for that.
We will also be present at the Metal Market of the With Full Force
