What a wonderful venue. Props to the organisers. Sound in the audience was quite ok, though the drums sounded a bit too hollow and sometimes guitars didn't come fully through. I heard the sound onstage wasn't all that due to a lot of feedback. Not too weird, considering the venue.
Akelei: entered during their set. Quite ok, was he singing in Dutch?
Marche Funèbre: cool gig. Impressed by the vocals, that dude has a very sick scream.
Dandelion Wine: 'the strange duck in the bite' :' ) Though totally not like the other bands, a quite enjoyable gig.
Officium Triste: better than last time I saw them, Pim's clean vocals in particular. They suffered a power failure in the beginning.
The Eternal: the band I attended the fest for. I was surprised they played three songs from their debut 'The sombre light of isolation'. Good stageperformance, professional playing and a very strong voice. Though maybe not very doom metal, the best gig of the day for me.
Isole: on CD I kinda liked it, but live it was plain boring. Although very well executed the singing and riffing didn't appeal to me.
Evoken: my girlfriend (who is fond of this band) was very impressed. Can't say more about it, not my cup of tea at áll.
Very tasty pizza and pistolets, nice prices. I had a nice day.
