MUSKETEER OF DEATH presents:

28.10 @ the Frontline - Ghent (B)

The Prophecy (UK - doom/death)
Season's End (UK - euro gothic metal w/ female vocals)
Insanity Reigns Supreme (B - doom/death)
Pantheist (INT - funeral doom)
Valkyre (B/F/D – mixture from gothic-metal, classical music, folkmusic and melodic metal. Influenced by bands as Therion, In Extremo, Nightwish and Kamelot this band provides you with a nice blend of atmosphere and metal heavyness)
Whispering Gallery (NL - melodic metal with two clean male vocals and an impressive grunter. They combine molody and agression with pure doom-metal art)
Never Comes Silence (D - Atmospheric metal with influences that range over from doom-metal to folk-rock!)
Adultery (CZ - slavonic folklore black metal)
Wanhoop (B - melancholic alternation of slow depressive doom and harsh black metal)

In principe zijn ze tegenwoordig een UK, maar vanwege verschillende nationaliteiten gaat mijn voorkeur uit naar INTernational, zoals Koen al verduidelijkte.

Kostas verhuisde in 2004 naar de UK, waarmee dus ook de band. In de huidige line-up zitten leden van o.a. Esoteric and Indesinence!

Unfortunately Inborn Suffering had to cancel their appearance, because of double booking.

But we got 2 new nice additions to the line-up:

THE DIFFERENCE (B - Heavy metal/traditional hardrock served with a doomy vibe and a slight progressive touch)
NEVER COMES SILENCE (D - Atmospheric metal with influences that range over from doom-metal to folk-rock!)

ik ben er rond half zes

was weer gezellig en veel bekenden gezien

Never comes silence: ach was wel leuk, niet speciaal, maar hun enthousiasme en een dubbele candlesmass cover waren het aanzien wel waard

whispering gallery: goed geluid en goede performance, cleane zang was echt weer knap en het geheel klonk goed, ook leuke songkeuze

valkyre: vrolijke boel zeg, na 1 nummer weg gegaan

pantheist: met drie leden van Esoteric in de bezetting...en dan weet je genoeg, funeral doom tot op het bot

IRS: opzwepend, maar toch iets minder dan vorige keer dat ik ze zag, minder magie

season's end: vrolijke boel zeg, na 1 nummer weg gegaan

The Propechy: beste van de vijf keer dat ik ze zag, geluid was goed en de zanglijnen waren echt bloedmooi + extra punten voor die geweldige gitarist natuurlijk

kortom, geslaagde dag op alle fronten
