It took us a while , but we finally finished everything to make this release something amazing. And yes, you read that correctly: This is a double LP including a DVD ! With the help of Studio Metro (Metropool, Hengelo) and Michiel Toenink the soundquality of the recordings are incredible. We're proud to release the absolute best bands in hardcore right now: MODERN LIFE IS WAR, TERROR, BLACKLISTED, NO TURNING BACK , OMISSION and RISE AND FALL.
The album comes in a heavy gatefold sleeve and is limited to one press-run only. It comes with a poster of the fest and for the people who order fast, we have a special mailorder version that's limited to 100 copies.

For those who know us at Reflections it's no secret that next to our admiration for hardcore / punk , we like a whole lot of other styles of music. Whether it's classic rock / metal , dark blues/folk, black metal or whatever you can think of with a connection to the shadowside of life, we love it! That's why we decided to give ourselves an outlet to actually work with these kinda bands as well.
With Monumentum Records we want to give talented artists the opportunity to promote music that may not particularly fit in with the punk or hardcore scene, but in our opinion, deserves to be heard.
Monumentum's main priority will be to focus on music as a pure form of art where the heart and soul breaks through the mud of the mediocre. With the upcoming releases from NIHILL, BURNING SAVIOURS and BLACK ANVIL we will have a great start!
Nihill – Krach. 2LP (part I of a trilogy)
The KVLT of NIHILL solemnly gathers to produce music that can be seen as a ticket to leave this world and to enter others. The concept of NIHILL conquers all of nature and culture. At the end of this earthly state, nothing will be left, assert the KVLT of NIHILL. During the last and most traumatic transition in this postmodern life, NIHILL applies the medicine to alleviate the primal anxiety of death.
The first record of this trilogy, KRACH, is a piece of a puzzle forming a key to reach for Death and beyond. A transfiguration into a new spiral leading ever inwards. This transfiguration is caught in the music. Imploding funeral drones, raging mechanical ice winds and unearthly screams capture this end of the mortal body. The leaving of this morbid insanity we call life is reflected in the music. To leave behind a tormented state, to dream upon the scaffold and to embrace the real wisdom (gnosis) and king (rex mundi)….. Burning Saviours – Hundus. LP
Originally released as a CD-only album by I Hate Records, we're proud to bring “Hundus” on the format music like this is made for. Describing Burning Saviours' music couldn't be done better as what http://www.stonerrock.com wrote about this glorious Swedish band: “There is scarce doubt in my mind that “Hundus”, along with Witchcraft's sublime sophomore effort and Pagan Altar's “Lords of Hypocrisy”, is very much the finest recording I've laid ears on in the new millenium. A wistful, otherworldly flight of fancy that meshed the drifting languorous weightlessness of vintage Spring/Dark/Czar-esque prog and bucolic whimsy of Jethro Tull with the of-balance doomrock of classic Pentagram”

Black Anvil – LP/CD
Influenced by the godfathers of the current (black) metal scene, Celtic Frost, Venom, Possessed , Darkthrone and Messiah and the underworld of one of the biggest cities of the world, Black Anvil lurks in the shadows of the city and deliberately waits for their vicious attack of sinister and grimm metal. It would be easiest to name the people behind Black Anvil to make people show interest, but this new band from New York City , USA , will have the music speak for itself. The band is currently writing songs for their debut album to be released later this year.

Justice have continued to broaden their sound with every release, challenging themselves and the listener to take things a few steps further every time. Sure, the energy still oozes from the cracks and that youthful anger is still there, but through the years JUSTICE's sound has become more melodic, soulful and grooving. "Escapades" is a record that deserves to be heard. It' s genuine, honest and strong and the band's most daring and challenging record to date.

MODERN LIFE IS WAR European Tour & new album VINYL through Reflections!
We're very excited to announce that Reflections Records will be releasing the upcoming new album on vinyl from MODERN LIFE IS WAR in Europe. The band recently signed with Equal Vision Records for the third full length album, slated for a September 4 2007 release. Our good friends from Lifeline Records will release the vinyl in the USA. Being quite a big part of MODERN LIFE IS WAR's history we're stoked to remain being a part of the band's future.
MODERN LIFE IS WAR is currently in the studio at The Magpie Cage, the recording studio of producer/engineeer J. Robbins, in Baltimore MD. We believe that this album is gonna be an absolute masterpiece and we can't wait to hear those new songs.
MODERN LIFE IS WAR will be touring Europe / UK from July 28 – August 15. Keep an eye out for the tourdates on our website for more information and dates.
