Flowdown was founded in 2002. Before that time the band operated by the name Conquistador and produced two albums. Because of the development of the music the 5 bandmembers decided to make a new start by changing the name to Flowdown. The music is a mixture of styles, such as Alternative Rock, Stonerrock and Nu Metal, which results in varied compositions. On one side groovy and heavy, at the other side spheric en melodic. Subtle influences can be heard of Tool, Godsmack, Filter, Disturbed, Meshuggah and others. But none of these examples is of big influence on Flowdown's own sound.

In 2003 the first album was recorded. The result: 'Shadows of the Mind', a mindblowing album with heavy grooves and melodic passages. In Dutch metal-magazine Aardschok the review was very possitive.
At the moment the band is busy writing material for the next album.

Combining never ending songs and a loud, relentless sound with low-end heaviness, wild psychedelic trips and doomrockin' riffs, Toner Low are one of a kind to roam the green fields of Holland. In the first four years since their formation in 1998 these doomstoners release a couple of promo's, play gigs in Holland and Belgium (2000) with among others Karma To Burn (USA), I$I$, Candybar Planet and Lawn, and part with two bandmembers.

Originally a band with five musicians, the line-up reduces to a three-piece minimum in August 2002: Deef (bass/vocals), Daan (guitar) and Jack (drums). After having released songs on a 7" and on the Motor Rock Volume 1-compilationcd (Motorwolf Records), shows are done in Holland, Germany (2003, 2004) and Luxemburg (2004). Spring 2004 Toner Low start recordings for their full-length debut. June 2005 the bandmembers release the cd on their DIY-label Roadkill Rekordz. The album gets great reviews in magazines and on websites, and is chosen 'Rivelazione del 2005' by the Perkele.it-stonersite.

January 2006 Freebird Records (Eindhoven, Holland) releases the cd, with Europe-wide distribution. Late 2006 it gets its release as a double vinyl album. Gigs are done with a.o. SUMA (Swe), El-Thule (It), Dozer (Swe), End Of Level Boss (UK), Spaceship Landing (De), Amen Ra (B), Orange Sunshine, Heavy Lord and Astrosoniq. Toner Low play gigs all over Holland (a.o. the preparty of the Roadburn Festival 2006) and in Sweden, Denmark, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. During the first half of 2007 gigs are done in Belgium, Holland and Germany. Toner Low is also working on new songs for a second cd on Freebird Records.
