Eindhoven gedoemd?

Nee mensen, er is niets mis met Eindhoven, maar er komt toch een mooi package aan doom metal bands naar Dynamo, daar moet je bijzijn. Candlemass is de hoofdact, namens Nederland dragen Officium Triste en In Age And Sadness hun (graf-)steentje bij en het Duits/ Roemeense Powerwolf maakt het kwartet vol.

Candlemass behoeft geen introductie; samen met My Dying Bride zijn zij de absolute top van de doom metal. Begin dit jaar kwam hun plaat “King of The Grey Islands” uit, met de nieuwe zanger Robert Lowe (ook bekend van Solitude Aeturnus). De nieuwe plaat is dermate overtuigend dat het belooft een geweldig concert te worden. Naast dit Zweedse geweld speelt ook Nederlands beste en bekendste band Officium Triste (uit Rotterdoom) mee, met een nieuwe gitarist en een geweldige nieuwe plaat in de bagage (“Giving Yourself Away”), en als opkomend talent speelt ook het Nederlandse In Age And Sadness mee, die ongemerkt ook al de nodige live-ervaring hebben.

Waar de Nederlandse bands meer doom spelen, speelt het Duits/Roemeense Powerwolf wat meer pure heavy metal.

Eindhoven doomed?

Nope folks, there is nothing wrong with Eindhoven, but boy, do we have a great package of doom coming up at the Dynamo Friday September 7th 2007! Headliner of the evening is Candlemass, the Dutch participants are none less than Officium Triste and In Age and Sadness, and German/Rumanian metal act Powerwolf completes the package.

Candlemass need no further introduction: together with My Dying Bride they can be regarded as the top in international doom. Earlier this year their “King of the Grey Islands” was released, with new vocalist Robert Lowe (also in Solitude Aeturnus): it is that strong that the concert promises to be nothing but awesome. Apart from this also Holland’s top in doom is represented by Officium Triste, from Rotterdoom. Officium Triste will take the chance to present their new opus “Giving Yourself Away”, and upcoming doom talent In Age And Sadness, who gained a considerable live experience the past few months, will also present their doom on stage. And where as the Dutch acts play pure doom, German/ Rumanian Powerwolf adds a considerable amount of heavy metal to the bill. Prepare to meet thy doom!
