New PAINT IT BLACK CD released by Reflections! Album details announced!
We’re very excited to announce that the new album from PAINT IT BLACK will be released in Europe through Reflections Records. We’ve been a fan since their debut album on Jade Tree and are happy to work together with this great label and great band!

PAINT IT BLACK’s New Lexicon was not easy to produce, but it’s gritty, thunderous and ugly—just the way hardcore punk should be. New Lexicon marks PAINT IT BLACK’s first recording with new drummer Jared Shavelson (Hope Conspiracy, None More Black) and boasts guest vocals from Jeff Pezatti (Naked Raygun). Still, many of the best surprises occur behind the scenes. Rather than straining to re-create “lo-fi” in a studio, New Lexicon rings in an aggressive clarity from engineer J. Robbins’ (Modern Life is War, Against Me!). With a thick low-end up front (think Bad Brains’ Roir sessions), New Lexicon says that aggression doesn’t have to be found only in thick guitars. From here, the album was passed on to co-producer Oktopus of the indie hip hop group Dalek. Here, the existing sounds of feedback, bass booms and cymbal crashes were twisted into haunting ambient interludes and serpentine waves trailing behind the buzz saw riffs. With little debate, this is PAINT IT BLACK’s finest hour ...or, half-hour, anyway, with 15 songs clocking in at a dizzying 30 minutes, 26 seconds.

WRAITH signed to Reflections! Debut EP coming early 2008
To many people most likely an unknown band… We’ll promise you that will change soon! WRAITH origins from Cardiff, United Kingdom with a collective mindset of dishing out the most devastatingly crushing music they could envoke on mankind, with the gear to back it up they plan to level the playing field and bring forth HELL to whomever will have them playing their abode. All band members served their time in bands that have seen some form of recognition in their own restricted genres but see it as no bearing on what WRAITH are doing. These guys backed themselves with enough equipment to lay waste to any non-believers and leave them with a serious ear ringing..if the likes of Neurosis,Tragedy and Fad Gadget are in your record collection then WRAITH might floor you!

The band is currently preparing themselves for a limited 7”/ digital download EP to be released early 2008 with a debut full-length coming later next year.

CURSED to release new LP/CD on Reflections
And well, if we haven't been enthusiastic about new bands and new releases enough. Here's another one that got us jumping up and down the office! Reflections will be releasing CURSED - III on both CD and LP for the European territory! With their debut "I" released on Deathwish, their somophore 'II" and their last EP "Black Out On Sunrise" on Goodfellow Records, combined with their thunderous live perfomances all over the globe, CURSED has set a solid name for themselves and has become a well-known name within hardcore.

CURSED just finished recording "III" for the third chapter in their shock and awe program and will be touring Europe in the spring of 2008. WRAITH, recently signed to Reflections, will be joining them on some of the dates. If you’d like to do a show, contact sam@amsterdam-underground.com

TERROR – NEW MCD “Rhythm Amongst The Chaos” out now!
TERROR have cemented their status in stone letters as guardians of old school hardcore ethics while winning the pit fervor of the new generation of metal and hardcore fans. "Rhythm Amongst The Chaos" was recorded at drummer Nick Jett's recording studio, Blood Tracks, all in between a full European headlining tour, dates on Monsters Of Mayhem II (Hatebreed, Evergreen Terrace), and a mini east coast run with Madball. It is this drive and desire that has cemented TERROR into the hearts of music fans worldwide and made them royalty within the touring front. 4 brandnew songs and an amazing cover from Breakdown's "Kickback" (featuring guest vocals from Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks). CLOAK/DAGGER – We Are… CD out now! European tour starts this week

CLOAK/DAGGER keep it fast and simple. Produced and recorded at Headbanging Kill Your Mama Music Studios by Chris Owens (Lords), “ We Are” is a bombastic, rough around the edges approach to minimalist hardcore. Combining the jagged aggression of bands like Swiz and Black Flag with the spastic urgency of Drive Like Jehu, “We Are“ CLOAK/DAGGER brings a lyrically raw directness that transcends the false conceptions and misgivings of modern punk, offering up honest commentary on the balance between life both with and without excess. In the end, “ We Are” CLOAK/DAGGER embraces the long lost art of disposability, steering away from the culture of celebratory fake aggression, into a new era of raw, incendiary punk music. Seriously people… this is REAL punk/hardcore!

COLISEUM – NO SALVATION LP out now! European tour starts next week

COLISEUM is coming over for a three-week European headlining tour in support of their recently released album 'No Salvation'. COLISEUM, fresh off a five-week North American tour with HIGH ON FIRE, will kick-off this tour on November 30th in The Netherlands. From there, the Louisville, KY trio will spend much of December touring through Eastern Europe and the United Kingdom.
