Hereby we proudly announce the signing of MONOLITH to the ranks of Karmageddon Media.
MONOLITH (a.k.a. THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT) is a fast rising Death Metal act from the Netherlands and their purpose is to teach all the morbidness and destructive power in the art of Death Metal to the musically stuffed to the gills audience. No blasé band names from medical handbooks, no bloody, illegible band logos or other numerous clichés of the shamelessly dry-bled genre, but an emotionless and hyper-modern character.
MONOLITH plays relentlessly complicated yet catchy Death Metal. Hyper speed drums complemented with screaming and growling guitars and a triple vocal attack are the mainstay for an hysterical Death Metal attack that will be unprecedented, especially in The Netherlands.
In a very short timespan MONOLITH have worked their way into the highest ranks of the highly acclaimed Dutch Death Metal scene. In November 2002 the band unleashed the 4-track promo 'Obliteration of the Despised' upon the unsuspecting Death Metal audience. Both national and international reactions were overwhelming, which resulted in a recorddeal with Cold Blood Industries. Fewer than two months after the release of the promo MONOLITH struck again with devastating force with their debut album entitled 'The Apotheosis'. For optimal marketing of this album MONOLITH embarked on 2 different European tours with The Crown (S) and Skinless (US).

We of the Monolith Deathcult are fully aware that certain historically accurate matters are quite sensitive in some countries.
The Monolith Deathcult is not a political band. We distinguish between race and religion. We know that most people are too retarded to take a good look at our lyrics, but we refuse to lyrically adapt and limit ourselves to suit the IQ of the contemporary metal fan.
The Monolith Deathcult treats historical happenings as they occured throughout the ages. Sometimes it happens that a topic is treated which certain people rather would not be reminded about because of the heinous deeds of their forfathers.

Army of the Despised
Army of the Despised describes the activities of the meanest and most vicious unit ever assembled by the Nazi war machine and their vicious commander, Oskar Dirlewanger. In actually, this unit was an assorted group of poachers, criminals of all classifications, including increasing numbers of political criminals. The crimes of Dirlewanger are well documented and sometimes very shocking. He was prone to heavy drinking and treated his men with great cruelty. Soldiers in his unit often reported him beating or killing soldiers for minor infractions. Deserters were shot or hanged publically as an example. In a war when no quarter was expected and no quarter was given, cruelty can only be expected, but the activities of Sonderkommando Dirlewanger shocked even the most hardened members of the SS. Dr Dirlewanger was beaten to death by Polish troops in June 1945. A fitting end for such a monster.
7 Months of Suffering
The Hebrews disrupted Philistine caravans bringing goods from the desert, and the Philistines established military outposts between their citblackies and hills occupied by the Hebrews. Around the year 1050, the Hebrews combined their forces for the first time and confronted an army of Philistines near the Philistine outpost at Aphek -- the Philistines with iron weapons and horse drawn chariots, the Hebrews riding into battle on donkeys. As described in 1 Samuel 4:2, the Hebrews lost the battle. Hebrew elders wondered why Yahweh had allowed this, and they sent for the Ark of the Covenant, proclaiming that it would "deliver us from the power of our enemies." The ark came to the camp of the Hebrews, but the Hebrews were defeated again. The Philistines captured the ark and took it with them to their city, Ashdod. But, according to the Old Testament, this angered the the Hebrew God Yahweh and he "ravaged and smote" the Philistines of Ashdod and its territories "with tumors" for 7 horrible months.
Origin
Origin is a non-biblical vision on the origin of mankind. A lot of theories tell us that humanity is created by the Anunnaki, the alien visitors from the planet Nibiru-Phaëton. Planet Nibiru (Ne.Bi.Ru) is known by many names, such as: Planet X, The Twelfth Planet, Marduk, Paradise, "Heaven" and the "Kingdom of the Heavens" and etc. in various cultures. Although Nibiru has been called The Twelfth Planet, technically it is not a planet of our solar system. In fact, it is a planet from another solar system and the star that was the sun of its solar system has been extinguished. On September 29, 1941, the Nazis began hearding Kyiv's Jews into the ravines of Babi Yar where they were stripped and shot. In the first 72 hours, 33,000 Jews were shot. By the end of the frenzy, over 150,000 Jews and and thousands of Roma were murdered. Kyiv's Jewish population was destroyed.
This instrumental track composed and played by AJ van Drenth, guitarplayer and singer for the Dutch cult doom band Beyond Belief, represents the sad, miserable and haunting atmosphere in the ravines of Babi Yar where thousands of souls found their eternal rest.

While the world's cavalry polished its boots, prepared chargers and lances, and planned on being home in time for Christmas, all the new mechanical might of modern industry was being massed at the disposal of the Central and Allied Powers -- most of whose leaders had no idea how to use it, or what to expect if they did. In more ways than one, this was a war waged in the laboratory. Four years, and nine million violent deaths and mutilations later, the results of the experiment were in: the war had won. A soldier said, contemplating the first day of the Battle of the Somme, "by the end of the day both sides had seen, in a sad scrawl of broken earth and murdered men, the answer to the question. No road. No thoroughfare. Neither race had won, nor could win, the War. The War had won, and would go on winning"

On April 25th -26th, 1986 the World's worst nuclear power accident occurred at Chernobyl in the former USSR (now Ukraine). The Chernobyl nuclear power plant located 80 miles north of Kiev had 4 reactors and whilst testing reactor number 4 numerous safety procedures were disregarded. At 1:23am the chain reaction in the reactor became out of control creating explosions and a fireball which blew off the reactor's heavy steel and concrete lid.
The Chernobyl accident killed more than 30 people immediately, and as a result of the high radiation levels in the surrounding 20-mile radius, 135,00 people had to be evacuated
Under the Bloodcampaign
After the Iconoclasm Fury King Philip of Spain send the Duke of Alva to punish the guilty with unbending severity. The "iron duke" was to be the ideal instrument for the execution of this purpose. The very announcement of Alva's coming spread terror and consternation. Prince William of Orange and other leaders of the Gueux fled to foreign countries. But the popular Counts of Egmond and Hoorne, through blind confidence or reckless courage, resolved to face Alva. On 22 August, Alva, accompanied by a body of select Spanish troops, made his entry into Brussels. He immediately appointed a council to condemn without trial those suspected of rebellion
On 1 June, 1568, Brussels witnessed the simultaneous decapitation of twenty-two noblemen; on 6 June followed the execution of the Counts of Egmond and Hoorne. The "Council of Blood" was the popular designation of Alva's tribunal. The Flemings fled in thousands to Holland and Zeeland, where the elements of the rebellion were concentrated under the leadership of the Prince of Orange. In the meantime Alva began a regular campaign in the northern provinces. His victorious troops, whose banner was inscribed with the legend: "Pro lege, rege, grege," and plundered the cities of Mons, Mechlen, Zutphen, and Naarden, and left them drenched in blood.

Stalin's prisoners, or "lagerniks" as they were commonly called, referred to the frozen land of Kolyma as a planet, although it physically remained part of Mother Earth. This vast piece of Arctic and sub-Arctic territory, with its undefined political and geographical borders, was located in the furthest North-East corner of Siberia.
Kolyma differed from the remaining Asian land mass in so many ways that it could be considered, metaphorically at least, as an entity unto itself. The remoteness and isolation, the severity of the climate, and the harsh living conditions made this frozen hell stand apart from the rest of Siberia.
The people of the Soviet Union feared Kolyma more than any other region of the Gulag Empire. "Kolyma znaczit smert" was the common phrase whispered at the time, and translates, without loss, to "Kolyma means death."
