Drummer Joris Nijenhuis has decided to leave Elexorien, to focus on different styles of music. According to the Elexorienblaster himself, he has grown weary of this particular style of music, and would like to expand his horizons. Just to clear things up: there have been no arguements of any kind, and we will remain friends. Joris has kindly offered to play all gigs until our show at Ragnarök Festival in March. After that, we will set out with a new drummer.
It obviously is rather shocking news at the moment, but do not worry or fear for our future: Elexorien will prevail! We would like to thank Joris for all the good times we shared and all he has done for the band since day one, as he is one of the founding members of the band. And last but most definitely not least we wish him all the best of luck and fun, and blastbeats of over 300bpm in the future! \m/
This, too, means that we are looking for a new drummer! If you think you are able to fill in the spot from April on (with rehearsals to get you to become acquainted with ourselves, our material, and the new songs we are writing at the moment starting as soon as possible), feel free to contact us at drummerwanted@elexorien.com
What we have to offer is:
* Plenty of gigs in the Netherlands, as well as a bunch of them abroad. New and even bigger (international) shows will be confirmed soon. Check the Tourdates-section on our website for details.
* A record deal with German Trollzorn/SMP Records, who have released our self-titled full-length debut album in April 2007, and more albums to come.
* Gigs with us from May on.
* Tons of fun and good times, of course.
What we are asking of you is the following:

* Professional attitude
* Good material, drumkit-wise
* 200% dedication! We will not settle for anything less, as Elexorien is a huge part of our lives, we have no desire to be "the second band".

We are proud to announce that our search for a new drummer has ended! The latest addition to the pack is known as MERLIJN POOLMAN, who is also known for drumkit devastation in ABDUCTED, and for supplying artillery fire in WINTER SIEGE. Now that we are at full strength once more, the newly risen storm will be ravaging the stage again soon! Apart from fine-tuning the details of our current set, we will finally continue working on new material for our upcoming album.

Even though we appreciate some chaos, a few rules do apply to this contest:

Nah, ik kan die mosh tegen het eind niet spelen, met die tududuns erin, lukt me niet zuiver zonder slordigheden. Oefen de laatste tijd meer op vage loopjes dan op snelheid. Jammer genoeg merk ik dat wel.
En je moet ook niet alleen gitaarspel mee nemen he. Er komt bij dat ik de tekst niet helemaal ken. Ik kan wel het begin zingen, maar dat wil je niet hebben. En dan moet ik het ook nog eens tegelijk spelen.

we hereby announce the departure of Iné as vocalist of Elexorien. Due to personal differences, we no longer feel we are a solid unit, and we were left with no other choice but to go separate ways.
Iné’s statement is as follows:
Although it hurts inside, I’ve made the decision to leave Elexorien. Due to some personal issues I feel like I can not put a hundred percent effort in this band at the moment.
Being the singer of Elexorien has been an amazing experience; I absolutely love making music, being on stage, going on tours and having fun. The recent South-America tour is a fantastic memory forever. It was a great honour to perform for you, the fans. Maybe you will see me in other musical projects in the future.
I want to thank Elexorien for all the good times we shared and wish them all the best for the future. I hope the band will be on stage again very soon!
Especially I would like to thank you, the fans, and everyone who helped me or Elexorien the last five years. You’re the best, I will never forget you!

We would like to thank Iné for the good times we shared and fun we had, and wish her nothing but the best in her future musical and personal enterprises.
